We do not include testing for the Young Explorer Series curriculum because Apologia ascribes to the Charlotte Mason method for science and Bible, which involves journaling instead of testing. Additionally, if you would like to evaluate your child's performance, you can use the What Do You Remember questions as evaluation. Another option for evaluation would be to use the notebooking journal as a portfolio, if you need to show for state requirements.
