On our website, you will notice that we recommend that students complete Physical Science 4th Edition in either 8th or 9th grade. 

We believe that Physical Science 4th Edition is a rigorous enough course to be used for high school credit in 9th grade; however, ultimately it is up to the parents to decide whether a student should use this curriculum for 8th or 9th grade, and we support that choice either way.
