Parents are still needed to check on completed assignments, assist with labs, and if necessary, observe quizzes and test-taking. As the authorized, legal educational institution, your homeschool is responsible for keeping all records, grades, transcripts, and any other documentation necessary for being accepted by other schools, colleges, or universities.
